The weekend started on a positive note, with Gore showing strong pace in practice using his team’s trusted engine, putting him firmly in the mix for a potential podium. However, Sunday’s ROK Cup series engine lottery draw dealt a significant setback to the Swedish-Aussie driver. The engine assigned to Gore lacked both low-end punch and top-end speed, leaving him struggling for drive out of Lonato’s tight corners and ultimately derailing his podium ambitions.

It was a tough lesson in karting’s unpredictable nature, but Gore has already turned his focus to the next challenge. Fired up and determined, he now heads to the Italian Championships this weekend at the Franciacorta Karting Facility, a track he knows and loves.

With the benefit of running his reliable team engine — free from the unpredictability of the series engine lottery — Gore is confident he can return to the pace he showed earlier in Lonato.

“Franciacorta’s a favourite, and we’re set to bring our A-game to close out the season strong,”Gore said.

Gore also expressed gratitude for the team and those who make his racing journey possible.

“A huge thanks to our incredible sponsors — BXR, Hemisphere Wellness, and AWA — for their unwavering support, and to everyone at Team Driver for their awesome effort as always. I also want to send a special shoutout to Cuomo 19.12 Gelateria in Desenzano, Italy — their amazing gelato and top-notch service make them the best in Italy and a highlight of every race trip!”

With his sights firmly set on a strong result, Gore is ready to put Lonato behind him and chase a comeback performance at Franciacorta.
