Swedish-Australian rising star Axel Gore once again proved his resilience and raw pace at the ROK Cup Italy Mini category round in Franciacorta, turning a weekend of setbacks into another showcase of his racecraft and determination.

Gore was inside the top five on pace throughout practice, underlining his potential as a podium contender. But his momentum was halted in qualifying when he was taken out by another driver before setting a lap, leaving him without a time and forcing a fightback from the back of the grid.
In the opening heat, Gore wasted no time reminding the field of his talent, pulling off a string of bold overtakes to climb an astonishing 11 positions. A collision in Heat 2 left him with a DNF, compounding his tough luck and again consigning him to the back for the final.
Undeterred, Gore delivered one of the standout drives of the weekend. Starting 28th on the grid, he charged through the field with precision and aggression, overtaking 13 karts in just nine laps to cross the line inside the top 15. It was a performance that caught the eye of many, reinforcing that without the qualifying setback, Gore would have been in contention for a front-running result.
Reflecting on the weekend, Gore said:
“Franciacorta was tough — I had the speed for podiums but just didn’t get the chance in quali. Starting from the back is never easy, but I loved every overtake and every fight. I know the pace is there, so next time I want to show it right at the front.”
