Axel Gore Gears Up for ROK Cup Return at South Garda Karting

Updated: Sep 18

After a well-deserved summer hiatus, young karting sensation Axel Gore is eagerly counting down the days until the ROK Cup Championship roars back into action this weekend. The prestigious event, set to unfold at the iconic South Garda Karting track in Italy, kicks off this Thursday, September 11, and runs through Sunday, September 14, promising high-octane battles on one of Europe’s most demanding circuits.

Returning to the track where it all began for Axel — having made his debut for Team Driver at South Garda in November 2024 — this is a venue he knows well. The technical circuit is notoriously tricky, but Axel remains optimistic about his chances.

“I think I have a good chance to perform well this weekend if all goes according to plan,” Gore said.

Fresh off his impressive showing earlier in the season at the same championship in Italy—where he consistently ranked among the top five fastest drivers and secured multiple podium finishes in the heats—Axel’s is determined to hit the ground running. Piloting his trusty Team Driver kart, the Swedish prodigy is targeting a top-five finish this weekend, using the momentum to build a strong foundation heading into the 2026 season.

“Replicating that form is the goal,” his team notes, highlighting Axel’s growing confidence and consistency on the track.

While the break may have kept him off the competitive grid, Axel hasn’t let his skills rust. Back in his home country of Sweden, he’s stayed sharp through intensive testing sessions, with a particular emphasis on honing his wet-weather driving prowess. Behind the wheel of a replica Team Driver kart at his base in Stockholm, he’s tackled simulated rainy conditions to fine-tune his adaptability—a crucial edge as unpredictable weather often plays a role in Italian karting events.

Axel himself is buzzing with anticipation, commenting:
“It’s been a long break and I’m ready to get back to racing. The team and I are really starting to gel, and I go into the last six races of the season very optimistic about our prospects. We’re aiming to get on the podium before the end of the year."
“I’m super pumped about the opportunity ahead, and I’d like to thank our sponsors BXR, AWA, Hemisphere Wellness, RTS, and RaceIQ for their continued support, along with all the guys at Team Driver who have given me such a great kart these last four or five rounds.”

With the South Garda circuit’s sweeping turns and technical challenges ahead, Axel Gore is primed to take on the field once again. Karting fans won’t want to miss what promises to be a thrilling return to form.
